This year United Arab Emirates-based jeweller TEJORI are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding Soni family's involvement in the UAE jewellery sector. Mr Narottam Soni came to Dubai in 1964 and operated out of the Gold Souk as an artisan jewellery maker, before going onto establish a small chain of retail stores across Dubai.

In 2003, after returning from higher education in the USA, Narottam's son, third generation jeweller Kaushik Soni opened his own retail enterprise under the brand name TEJORI, beginning with one small store in the well-known Gold & Diamond Park in January 2004, and growing to a total of eight stores, spanning both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as of mid-2014.

With their in-depth knowledge of jewellery design, creation and trade, the Soni family have become known and trusted - not only amongst UAE residents, but also amongst tourists who take advantage of gold and diamond prices that are significantly lower than in their own countries. TEJORI work only with well-respected partners to ensure that the gems they sell are of the highest possible quality, with the quality assured by Kaushik Soni himself, who has achieved a wide range of qualifications in the diamond and gemstone grading arena, in addition to taking master-classes in the design and manufacture of jewellery. TEJORI are also rightfully proud of the fact that their diamonds are legitimately sourced, avoiding any association with blood diamonds. Offering inpidual certified loose diamonds, off-the-shelf jewellery and custom-made jewellery with a 24 hour turnaround period, it is easy to see why the business is so popular.
